Dual-function ZIF-8 membrane supported on alumina hollow fiber membrane for copper(II) removal

The as-spun alumina hollow fiber membrane was used as support for the development of ZIF-8 membrane. layers were successfully grown on by using in-situ solvothermal method and layer-by-layer method. morphology physicochemical properties membranes characterized field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), X-ray diffraction spectrophotometer (XRD), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR). adsorption study revealed that removal copper(II) ion pH-dependent. capacity is 76.5 mg/g. mechanism onto best fitted to Freundlich isotherm pseudo-second-order model. filtration showed could remove up 90% ions from aqueous solution.
